Antigua & Barbuda's passport is now the strongest in terms of visa-free travel in the OECS sub-region of the Caribbean, giving visa free access to 165 countries across the globe.

Following new visa waiver agreements signed by the Government of Antigua & Barbuda with Russia, India, Kosovo and Bolivia, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirms that nationals of Antigua & Barbuda can visit up to 165 countries without a visa. The list of visa free countries includes the member states of the European Union as well as the UK. Among all the countries are 124 sovereign states, 13 British Overseas Territories, 10 Overseas Department and Collectives of France, 6 Dutch territories and 3 territories of other European Countries.

Antigua's Foreign Minister E.P. Chet Greene held that such a development follows the government's objective of garnering respect for the integrity of the Antigua & Barbuda passport, allowing all citizens to travel visa free to as many countries as possible.

Antigua & Barbuda Citizenship by Investment Programme

The Antigua & Barbuda Citizenship Programme was established in 2014 and is open for good standing applicants. There are mainly two ways by which one can acquire citizenship through investing in Antigua & Barbuda:

  1. Donation to the National Development Fund, or
  2. Investment in Real Estate Projects

Acquisition of citizenship under the National Development Fund option requires a contribution in the minimum sum of US$100,000 per application for a family of up to four persons and US$125,000 for a family of 5 upwards.

The second option requires an investment of either USD$200,000 or USD$400,000 in government approved real estate projects. The real estate investment cannot be re-sold until 5 years after the purchase.
